Role Description
As a senior systems engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a range of systems engineering activities in newcleo’s LFR projects, such as managing requirements, interfaces, and V&V, maintaining design coherence, liaising with stakeholders, and developing architecture.

You will support the skills development of the junior engineers in our systems engineering team and be a recognized expert for best practices in one or more areas of the systems engineering domain.

Main activities

  • Creating, updating, or coordinating artifacts such as the operations concept, functional and physical architectures, requirement and compliance statements, verification and validation planning, optioneering assessments, design risk assessments (safety and CDM), and FMEA’s. 
  • Supporting integrated technical management (technical and project risks and issues, technical assumptions, interfaces, design configuration). 
  • Liaising with stakeholders and technical teams to ensure design coordination. 
  • Responding to technical queries as required. 
  • Supporting the implementation of a model supported engineering approach.

 

Desired qualifications
Education:     

  • University degree in a technical subject. 


Languages:     

  • For all locations: Working knowledge of English is a must 
  • For location in Italy: Fluent Italian, French is a plus 


Experience / Professional requirements: 

  • Strong systems engineering experience across the product lifecycle. 
  • Experience with software tools for requirements and system architecture. 
  • Experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE). 
  • Experience in fission nuclear, although other highly regulated backgrounds will be considered. 
  • Understanding of power plant design and operations. 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work with a multi-national multi-cultural team and to attain and maintain the respect and confidence of all stakeholders.
