Role Description
We are looking for a QHSE Engineer who will work as part of the integrated health, safety, environment, and quality team of newcleo,
He/she will focus on ensuring and maintains robust quality policy, standards, manuals, programmes, systems, processes, and procedures and implements them to achieve desired Projects, Processes and Products outcomes.
The QHSE Engineer will report directly to the QHSE Director and will also collaborate with colleagues across the newcleo subsidiaries to deliver consistent ways of working, share best practice and provide direct support, where appropriate.

 

Main Activities

  • Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes.
  • Prepares and/or reviews procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that the performance and quality of services conform to established internal and external standards and guidelines.
  • Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or statutory requirements as well as internal rules.
  • Works directly with operating entities to provide process analyses oversight on a continuing basis to enforce requirements and meet regulations.
  • Leads internal and external audit, follow-up of audit findings and liaises with auditing groups through all stages of the audits. For the role of Lead Auditor, it would be preferable the candidate to be certified by IRCA or SICEV.
  • Leads internal and external inspection according to the Manufacturing/Construction Inspection Plan at the Factory/Site and follow-up of Non-Conformance.
  • Prepares Inspection Reports and/or necessary documentation (e.g.: Non-Conformance, Corrective and Preventative Actions) for involved stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Coordinates legal requests in support of Statutory Authorities investigations.
  • Ensures the quality assurance programs are maintained and modified regularly.
  • Facilitates uniform standards for the site and enables best practice sharing.
  • Coordinates and facilitates the quality documentation system.
  • Provides and assists the Company in the implementation of quality-related continuous improvement opportunities (Lessons Learned).

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a science on technical related field
  • Fluent Italian and English. French is a plus.
  • 10+ years of work experience in Quality in regulated industry
  • Experience with QMS applicable in Engineering Company
  • Document control system management (configuration management)
  • Preferred Nuclear industry experience
  • RCC-M / ASME III code
  • Ferrous Materials and their characteristics
  • Production processes such as forging, welding, heat treatment
