Role Description
We are looking for a Project Delivery Manager who will be responsible for the effective delivery of projects within the IT Portfolio into the wider newcleo business. The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for working closely with the supplier project manager and actively overseeing all required activities by stakeholders across newcleo.

 

Main Activities

  • Ensuring clear and effective governance structures are in place to support successful delivery
  • Managing effective communication with a wide variety of stakeholders across the business to enhance successful delivery of projects
  • Providing an interface between newcleo and its suppliers, and acting as the first point of contact for managing actions and resolving issues.
  • Managing the commercial arrangements of the project to ensure delivery is aligned to agreed outputs and statement of works.
  • Analysing the project plan to ensure it is achievable. Also identifying the impact of changes on delivery with particular note to impact on stakeholder departments.
  • Identifying dependencies across other projects and feeding this into the wider IT Portfolio
  • Providing concise and effective reporting to feed into regular governance meetings at both a project and portfolio level.
  • Identifying obstacles in a timely manner and working with the project team and wider business to overcome in advance of impact.
  • Ensuring risks are being effectively recorded and managed to minimise impact to delivery
  • Managing the quality of delivery to ensure it meets with business expectations and defined benefits
  • Providing active support to User Acceptance Testing
  • Leading on prioritisation of activities within a project to ensure delivery focus is maintained, whilst balancing availability of newcleo resources.


Desired Qualifications        

  • Minimum of five years of project or programme delivery
  • Minimum of three years working in IT delivery with a strong understanding of the Systems/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • PRINCE2 or APM Project Management Practitioner
  • Experience in facilitating delivery workshops with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Experience in developing and contributing to processes and policies essential to project delivery.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels and across multiple disciplines
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Clear approach to action management and tracking
  • Pragmatic and logical approach to problem solving 
  • A strong commitment to nuclear safety principles, culture and behaviours.
  • Willingness to travel between Manchester, Gloucester, London, Lyon, Paris and Turin.
  • MSP or P3O Practitioner
  • Knowledge of Risk Management or MoR Qualification
  • ITIL and ITSM 
  • Operating in a multi-national environment
