Role Description
We are looking for a Product Owner for the PLM Programme who will be responsible for guiding the development and implementation of Siemens Teamcenter and Polarion, working closely with our technology partners, vendors, and internal stakeholders. The role oversees an agile team and will be responsible for strategic planning and iteratively delivering PLM capabilities aligned to business priorities and requirements.
The role is crucial in ensuring that the Teamcenter implementation meets the needs of the business, enabling effective product lifecycle management across the organisation. This role involves understanding business needs and priorities, translating them into technical requirements and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a prioritised, successful implementation and continuous improvement of the capability within newcleo.
Main Activities
- Develop and communicate PLM vision and strategy for newcleo in conjunction with senior management and key stakeholders.
- Define and prioritise the TeamCentre PLM and Polarian product backlogs, ensuring alignment with business goals and stakeholder requirements.
- Develop a deep understanding of user needs and workflows to drive the effective utilization of TeamCentre PLM.
- Create and maintain a product roadmap, balancing short-term and long-term objectives.
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Working with newcleo’s Digital Partner and Siemens, coordinate with resources and other stakeholders to manage scope, timelines, and implementations.
- Conduct regular status meetings and provide updates to senior management and execs.
- Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of licences and implementation services, while addressing any issues that arise to ensure continuous supply chain efficiency.
- Regularly evaluate supplier performance through key metrics and audits, implementing improvement plans.
- Collaborate with business users to gather and document requirements for new features, enhancements, and system integrations.
- Working with newcleo’s Digital Partner and Siemens, analyse and translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories.
- Conduct feasibility studies and impact analyses to support decision-making via governance.
- Work closely with the technical teams to ensure that the system architecture and design align with best practices and business needs.
- Oversee the configuration, customization, and maintenance of the TeamCenter PLM system.
- Ensure system integrity, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Act as point of contact and experience for business users
- Quality assures the training materials
- Oversee support activities to resolve user issues and enhance system performance in line with customer expectations.
- Establish and maintain documentation, including user manuals, SOPs, and technical guides.
- Monitor system usage and performance.
- Advocate for and implement continuous improvement practices within the agile team to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of deliverables.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in PLM technology.
Desired Qualifications
- Fluent Italian and English. French is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in PLM systems, preferably with Siemens TeamCentre.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management processes and best practices.
- Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience managing the implementation, configuration and customisation of Siemens TeamCentre PLM within a highly complex, regulatory and multi-country business.
- Excellent stakeholder and communication skills required

- Willingness to travel between Manchester, London, Lyon, Paris and Turin.
