Role Description
To collaborate to the Lead Fast Reactor (LFR) design activities for plant layout design.
Main Activities
- Perform layout engineering in all project phase for the plant.
- Coordinate the implementation of systems within the plant and participate to design changes identification.
- Carry out feasibility studies, conceptual design, basic and front-end design, detail engineering and design
- Develop internal standards and specific design criteria for layout.
- Develop layout design interfacing the nuclear island team.
- Participate to 3D model reviews, layout reviews, design reviews and technical meetings.
- Collaborate to the identification of breakthrough solutions to the most complex piping challenges.
- Develop testing processes, and perform testing and validation of new designs.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Desired Qualification
Education:
- Degree in Mechanical, Civil or Nuclear Engineering
- Master or PhD is a plus
Languages:
- For all locations: Working knowledge of English is a must
- For location in Italy: Fluent Italian, French is a plus
- For location in France: Fluent French, Italian is a plus
- For location in UK: Italian or French is a plus
Experience / Professional requirements:
- 5 years’ experience in plant design
- Experience in nuclear industry
- Knowledge of engineering cycle for development of feasibility, basic design, FEED, detailed engineering, commissioning and start-up
- Good knowledge of design and analysis principles for large or complex systems
