Position Summary
The Project Manager – Construction will manage field execution for a major nuclear fuel fabrication facility construction project. This role will oversee construction planning, contractor coordination, site execution, progress control, safety, quality, and handover to commissioning. The ideal candidate has deep experience in large-scale nuclear infrastructure construction and understands the discipline required to deliver complex, highly regulated facilities safely, on time, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead construction execution for assigned project areas, packages, or systems.
  • Coordinate contractors, site supervision, field engineering, logistics, and construction planning.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, industrial safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Track progress, manage constraints, resolve field issues, and drive schedule recovery when required.
  • Coordinate construction interfaces with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and commissioning teams.
  • Manage work execution documentation, permits, inspections, punch lists, and turnover packages.
  • Support cost control, change management, claims avoidance, and reporting to project leadership.
  • Promote a strong international and collaborative execution culture across the site team.

 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of construction management or project management experience on major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience in nuclear construction, nuclear industrial facilities, or other highly regulated projects.
  • Proven ability to manage contractors, field execution, and complex multi-discipline interfaces.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large capital projects with strict safety and quality requirements.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment with international project teams.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in nuclear fuel-cycle facilities, MOX plants, glovebox installations, or radiological construction environments.
  • Experience with EPC/EPCM delivery, turnover/handover, and commissioning interface management.
  • Working knowledge of DOE, NRC, or equivalent regulatory expectations.
