Position Summary 

As the I&C Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers responsible for the design, development, and delivery of instrumentation, automation, and control systems supporting MOX facility engineering and project execution.

You will provide technical guidance in the area to ensure designs are safe, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable regulatory requirements. 

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Hire, lead, develop, and provide technical direction to the I&C engineering team responsible for delivering the I&C scope of work across the MOX project lifecycle, from conceptual design through commissioning and plant startup.

 

  • Represent the organization in technical discussions with vendors, engineering partners, and internal stakeholders.

 

  • Manage team workload, establish performance objectives, prioritize activities, and provide regular status reporting through project metrics and KPIs.

 

  • Develop, manage, and monitor discipline budgets in accordance with approved project estimates and cost baselines. 

 

  • Promote a strong nuclear safety culture and foster a culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence. 

 

  • Define and monitor goals and standards of performance for each team member.

 

  • Develop and enforce methods and procedures to be used in the development and implementation of control system design, PLC/SCADA programs, HMI configuration, server system design, and industrial I.T.

 

  • Coordinate the development of internal design guidelines, specifications, and design control procedures.

 

 

Education & Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years of progressive experience in nuclear engineering, nuclear safety, or related nuclear facility engineering disciplines. 
  • Proven experience in technical leadership, team coordination and management.
  • Experience working effectively across multidisciplinary teams, organizations, and international locations. 
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. nuclear codes and standards, including NRC regulations and guidance. 

 

 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong technical expertise in instrumentation and control systems, including PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, industrial communications, and control system integration.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements applicable to industrial control systems and nuclear facilities.
  • Working knowledge of industry codes and standards (IEEE, IEC, ANSI, ISA, IAE)
  • General understanding of MOX fuel process design.
  • Significant experience in System Engineering.
