Role Description

 

The Electrical Inspector will work as part of the integrated health, safety, environment, and quality team of newcleo. 

The Electrical Inspector will focus on production processes and control of the conformity of products made by newcleo suppliers; installation, assembly, testing and commissioning processes at National and International Construction Sites; services provided by newcleo installers and assemblers.

The Electrical Inspector will interact with newcleo Engineering Units, Suppliers, Subcontractors, Customers and Regulatory Authorities.

The Electrical Inspector will report directly to the QHSE Director and will also collaborate with colleagues across the newcleo subsidiaries to deliver consistent ways of working, share best practice and provide direct support, where appropriate.


Main Activities

 

  • Contribute to the selection of mechanical and electrical equipment and circuits in design phase of test facilities. 
  • Propose specific test programs for testing or fine-tuning of mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Propose appropriate maintenance programme and coordinate their implementation
  • Assess the consistency of newcleo mechanical and electrical components selection vs. similar devices already in use in ENEA R&D facilities.
  • Developing or review discipline material quantity estimates.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Prepare or review facility operation manuals.
  • Operate newcleo R&D facilities; record results and transfer them to Test Responsible and Engineering.
  • Coordinates assigned work with other technical personnel as directed.


Desired Qualifications

 

Education:

 

  • Technical school diploma either in Mechanical or Electrical discipline

 

Languages:

 

  • Fluent Italian and English

 

Experience / Professional requirements:

 

  • Work experience as QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR in companies manufacturing finished components or parts for nuclear/oil and gas/automotive applications
  • Knowledge of RCC-E Code
  • Knowledge of EN/IEEE Regulations
  • Knowledge of materials and their characteristics
  • Knowledge of Electric Machines, Transformers, MT/LT Power Panels, Insulation Tests, Control Panel Logic Tests
  • Knowledge of the elements of Quality Management Systems
  • Ability to work both in complex teams and autonomously to achieve established goals
