Role Description
To contribute to the Lead Fast Reactors R&D activities focusing on definition, coordination and implementation of equipment qualification programme, selection of potential suppliers and, organization of qualification tests.
Main Activities
- Together with the R&D Director and the Site Manager identify the equipment which need a qualification process for its application in the Liquid Lead experimental facilities and/or Liquid Lead Fast Modular Reactor
- Scouting and propose potential interested suppliers of the selected equipment; prepare the purchase technical specifications for approaching the equipment validation; support the Procurement Office for the issuance of the related PO
- Perform a tight follow up of the Engineering Activities carried out by the potential supplier on his Equipment, aimed at selecting the Engineering solution for the final application on the Liquid Lead facilities/Nuclear
- Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of the qualification programme using as extensively as possible newcleo R&D facilities.
- If necessary, design customized test sections or facilities in order to verify critical parameters
- Overview of the construction and commissioning of R&D dedicated test sections/facilities
- Coordinate other units’ staff dealing with the equipment qualification programme
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
- Prepare or review facility operation manuals.
- Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel as directed.
Desired Qualifications
Education:
- University engineering degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear discipline
Languages:
- Fluent Italian and English, spoken and written, is required
- Good French knowledge would be appreciated
Experience / Professional requirements:
- At least 10-year experience in nuclear field is required.
- Previous experience in qualification process of equipment working into liquid heavy metals
- Understanding of industry instruments availability and regulatory codes.
- Knowledge of design and analysis principles for large or complex systems.
