Role Description
We are looking for an expert 3D CAD designer and modeler with proven experience supporting the design and modification of experimental plants at the ENEA Brasimone Center. The successful candidate will contribute to the Lead Fast Reactors R&D activities supporting the design and modification of experimental plants at the ENEA Brasimone Center, creating/modifying three-dimensional models and/or 2D drawings.
Main activities
- Creating/Modifying three-dimensional models requires knowledge of the major tools available today, such as AutoCAD 2D and 3D, Smartplant3D (an evolution of PDS), Aveva 3D (PDMS), Support Modeler, Catia, Inventor, Revit, Tekla, and visualization and interference detection tools such as Naviswork and Trimble.
- Modelling, plant layout, and mechanical module design, the production of isometric drawings, layout drawings (general, construction, typological, chronotypological, exploded views, details, etc.), bills of quantities, and various types of interference checks, such as spaces intended for on-site or remote maintenance, passageways for service systems, ATEX-approved areas, supervised or controlled areas, corridors, and load handling areas.
- For existing experimental facilities, the activity requires consulting and reviewing archive documentation, on-site measurements of the civil works, the position of mechanical skids and electrical panels, and the identification of the locations of interfaces (mechanical, civil, process, and electrical) to create the 3D model using SP3d and AutoCAD.
- Temporary stay at the Brasimone site will be required to perform overall surveys and comparisons.
Desired qualifications
Education:
- University engineering or architectural degree.
Languages:
- Fluent Italian, spoken and written, is required.
- Professional knowledge of English.
Experience/ Professional requirements:
- At least 10-year experience in nuclear field is required.
- Previous large experience in 3D modelling.
- Knowledge of design principles for large or complex systems and components.
